About the cover of the book:
The Dutch windmill—a Stellingmolen, or grain mill—featured in the cover
photograph resides in Orange City's Windmill Square Park. Builder-designer
Mr Rod Shea researched, carefully handcrafted, and donated six molens which,
along with a canal and drawbridge, are incorporated into a specially
designed setting.
These scale-model authentic replicas of historic molens
with varying original uses (pumping water, grinding grains, making flour,
sawing logs, etc) provide a striking tribute to the Iowa town's rich Dutch
heritage.
